How do you love?

I was reading the blog of a cyberfriend and one of the books she mentioned she read was The Five Love of Languages. That inspired me to start thinking about how I love and what makes me feel loved. I am an acts of service as well as an words of affirmation kind of gal, I actually lean more towards the words of affirmations type of lover because I absolutely, positively love words! I am totally seduced by words, so much so that they have gotten me in trouble on more than one occasion. I just swoon, yeah I said swoon, lol when I hear words that affirm my desirablity in the eyes of the beholder so I have to be very careful in what I allow myself to hear. The book of Proverbs reminds us that our hearts are deceitful, so we must guard it at all costs. I don’t always take heed to those pearls of wisdom however I keep in mind. Her post also made me conscious of why I so very often feel’s because I am not getting my needs met through the medium that makes me feel most loved. So my question to you is how do you love and how do you want love expressed to you?

About Minister of Style

I am a mom of 6, and a minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I love fashion and always have but sometimes my vocation and my hobby clash. On this blog, I hope they can learn to co exist together. I also blog about my beautiful daughter, Tatiana who happens to have Down syndrome. She is the joy of my life and it is my prayer that people will come to know that people with Down syndrome are just that people first, the condition is secondary and should be treated as such.
