First Sunday

In the Baptist church of which I am a member, the first Sunday of every month is the time we celebrate and commemorate The Last Supper Jesus shared with His disciples before giving His life for our sins. In my particular church, we wear robes when administering Communion. This is obviously not an outfit, these are sacred garments to show my service and authority to the world as a minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Underneath my robe I have a lightweight black and white print dress, the robe is very heavy and hot as well as the weather outside dictated wearing something to keep me as cool as possible.

P.S. The spot you may see is not on my robe but my camera lense….gotta fix that.

About Minister of Style

I am a mom of 6, and a minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I love fashion and always have but sometimes my vocation and my hobby clash. On this blog, I hope they can learn to co exist together. I also blog about my beautiful daughter, Tatiana who happens to have Down syndrome. She is the joy of my life and it is my prayer that people will come to know that people with Down syndrome are just that people first, the condition is secondary and should be treated as such.
